QuickCredit Deluxe
The QuickCredit Deluxe program allows you to add, maintain and process
your consumer credit accounts for reporting to Equifax, Trans Union and
TRW. QuickCredit Deluxe utilizes most of the Metro format, the current
industry standard for reporting credit accounts. QuickCredit Deluxe is as
user friendly as possible while, at the same time, retaining the high
degree of functionality and flexibility provided by the Metro format. We
hope you find QuickCredit Deluxe easy to both learn and use. On-line help
is available in almost every area of the program.
Your QuickCredit Deluxe program is encoded with the data from your
Software Registration and Initialization Information. This encoding
identifies your data to the credit bureaus.
When you write records to disk(s) you MUST send the disk(s) to the
appropriate bureau for processing. This is required because QuickCredit
Deluxe maintains certain Metro format criteria in the "background" to
which you have no access.
While saving records to disk, QuickCredit Deluxe compiles your data into
metro-formatted files. This process allows you to pack approximately
3,500 records on one 1.2mb disk. Each disk that is written has a header
record followed by your consumer accounts. The header record identifies
you to the bureaus and indicates the volume number for each disk.
You are probably required to mark your disk(s) in a particular manor for
each credit bureau. We recommend you contact your credit bureau
representatives for the proper procedures required. In addition, we
strongly recommend the following procedures: keep some sort of journal of
the date and number of disks that you send to EACH BUREAU for processing;
backup your ENTIRE QuickCredit Deluxe sub-directory after EACH write to
disk that you make; copy the files from the disks after QuickCredit Deluxe
has saved your data to a backup, bureau-specific, sub-directory; and
finally, keep at least three of your MOST previously processed disk
batches that you receive back from EACH bureau. Following these
procedures will provide both tracking and data integrity should adverse
conditions occur.
First & Last realizes that some creditors will have more records than can
be possibly entered manually into QuickCredit Deluxe. With this
realization, First & Last can pre-load QuickCredit Deluxe with a
creditor's data. The data MUST contain certain items of information from
each and every account for this process. First & Last does charge for
this service. If you are interested in having First & Last provide this
data manipulation and loading service, contact Technical Support at (214)
343-6784 and ask for QuickCredit Deluxe pre-loading information.
Once again, we hope you find that QuickCredit Deluxe is easy to learn and
use, and that it meets your requirements for tracking and reporting your
consumer credit account information to the bureaus to which you subscribe.

From here all facets of QuickCredit Deluxe can be accessed. Main Menu
options are:

2. Create Agency Disks 5. Verify Working Date
3. Print Entire Database 6. About Program
Menu items can be selected by either using the direction arrows to
highlight the desired item and pressing ENTER or by simply typing the
number preceding each item.
Add/Edit Records
This selection allows you add, modify, delete, browse, search, and print
individual accounts. After choosing this option you will be placed at the
record display screen. If there are no records in the database, a warning
beep will sound and a message will display at the bottom of the screen.
Curser control keys and editing option function keys are listed at the
bottom of the display. Some fields require information to be entered
before you are allowed to exit the field. These fields are indicated with
an asterisk (*) in the Field Layout section of this Manual.
Create Agency Disks
This selection displays an Agency Options Menu that lists the three credit
bureaus. After you select an agency, QuickCredit Deluxe will prompt you

sure that there is a clean, formatted disk in the drive. QuickCredit
Deluxe will then write ALL records to the floppy disk for transport to the
specific bureau you have selected. If you have more records than will fit
on one disk, QuickCredit Deluxe will prompt you for additional disk(s)
until all records have been written to file.
Print Entire Database
This selection will send your entire database to your LPT1 printer with
three records printing per page. Make sure that your printer is on-line
and has sufficient paper before choosing this option. You will find that
the account information is arranged in an easy to read format.
View Database Size
This reports the number of records that your database contains. If you
choose this option while there are no records, a warning beep will sound
and a message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Verify Working Date
This selection allows you to verify or correct the system date. The
system date must be the correct date that you are accessing or adding
files to QuickCredit Deluxe.
